Mileage

Crawford & Co · Travelled vs booked
← Acc Workspace ← Portal
Three figures per person, and they are meant to differ. Calendar is home → each job in the order it was booked → home, from the surveyor’s Google Calendar, with cancelled visits and non-job blocks left out. Claimed is what they actually submitted at clock-out, read from the same Connecteam field payroll pays on. Tracked is the GPS trail Connecteam recorded while they were clocked in — closest to where they really went, but it is the sum of straight hops between sampled points, so treat it as an indication rather than a figure to pay against.

Difference is Claimed minus Calendar, and the two are put on the same footing before comparing: the Connecteam field is “Mileage (not inc <20 miles commute to/from home)”, so a commute leg under 20 miles is dropped from the calendar figure too. Without that, every surveyor who lives near their patch would look like they were under-claiming by the length of their commute. The full day, the job-to-job miles and each commute leg are all stored separately and all appear in the CSV, so a different commute rule can be applied without re-reading anything. A difference is not wrongdoing: it is a question worth asking, not an answer. Calendar and GPS miles are straight-line between points, so both read short of road distance.
